The children served by IRIS are not only deeply traumatized by witnessing extreme violence in their home, but also enduring physical, sexual and emotional abuse themselves.
The women served by IRIS have usually suffered many years of emotional abuse and physical violence from a very young age and often at the hands of more than one person.
